Who uses it
Anyone with a document that says "Notary Public" at the bottom and needs a stamp. Includes: HR departments doing remote I-9s, attorneys, real estate agents, individuals doing single-document notarizations, and business owners signing contracts.
Tennessee-specific details
Under Tennessee law, every notarial act requires (1) the signer's physical presence, (2) a current government-issued photo ID, and (3) the signer's willingness to sign. We can't notarize a blank document, a document already signed without you present, or a signer who appears coerced or impaired.
