What this service covers
- Powers of attorney (financial, healthcare, durable)
- Affidavits and sworn statements
- Acknowledgments for contracts and agreements
- Out-of-state real estate documents (where the destination state accepts TN RON)
- Authorizations and consent forms
- Vehicle title transfers (for TN; check destination state rules)
Who uses it
Anyone who can't meet in person — out-of-state family, busy professionals, recovering patients, deployed military, and anyone who values their time. Especially useful for real estate transactions where one party is remote.
Tennessee-specific details
Tennessee requires RON sessions to use approved technology providers, retain an audio-video recording for 10 years, verify identity through credential analysis + knowledge-based authentication (KBA), and use a TN-commissioned online notary. Not all documents qualify — wills, codicils, and trust documents that the testator wants notarized still typically require in-person notarization under TN best practice.
How it works
- Schedule a RON session by phone or email
- Receive a session link with instructions
- Upload your document and complete ID verification (driver's license + KBA quiz)
- Join the video session with the notary
- Sign electronically while the notary watches
- Notary applies digital seal and sends you the completed document
